Kyle is a storyteller at heart, with over 10 years of experience working on television and movie sets before bringing that expertise into wedding and event videography. That background influences everything he does, from how moments are captured to how thoughtfully each film is edited.
Born and raised in Lake Tahoe and now based in Ventura, California, Kyle founded O’Malley Reels in 2016 out of a lifelong passion for filming, editing, and preserving meaningful moments. He believes the smallest details often matter most: the laughter between moments, the carefully chosen touches, and the words shared once in a lifetime.
Kyle’s approach is fly-on-the-wall and documentary-style. He never stages or directs, allowing the day to unfold naturally so the final film feels honest, emotional, and true to you.
Outside of his work, Kyle is a family man who values nostalgia, connection, and supporting the local community. Being trusted to capture life’s most meaningful moments is something he never takes lightly, and each film is crafted with care so those memories can be revisited for years to come.
